Shilajit is a naturally occurring mineral resin, and like other natural, mineral-based materials, its exact composition can vary depending on where and how it is sourced. Testing for specific elements is one way a natural product's composition can be checked against a defined set of parameters, using a specific method, on a specific sample.

This kind of testing does not replace good sourcing and handling practices, but it does give customers something concrete to look at: a real, dated report, tied to a named brand and sample, showing what was and was not detected for the parameters that were tested.

We also maintain a mineral and moisture composition report from HTC Labs (a project of Halal & Tayyib Certification (Pvt) Ltd), Report Number 0936-21, listing results for moisture, calcium, iron, magnesium, potassium and zinc content. This particular document does not itself state a sample brand name, so we are sharing it here as supplementary reference documentation alongside — rather than as direct confirmation of — the Aftabi Shilajit elemental analysis above.

The submitted Aftabi Shilajit sample was tested for the elements listed above. According to this report, Lead, Cadmium and Arsenic were reported as N.D. (Not Detected).

This result relates specifically to the one sample and the parameters listed in the report dated 20 December 2023. It reflects that particular tested sample, using the method and reporting used by the testing laboratory at the time — it is not a claim about every batch, every parameter, or every possible substance.

We are publishing this page so customers can inspect the testing documentation we have available, rather than simply taking claims about testing on trust. As further documentation becomes available, we intend to add it here.
