Why It Matters

Why Quality Testing Matters

Shilajit is a naturally occurring mineral resin, and like other natural, mineral-based materials, its exact composition can vary depending on where and how it is sourced. Testing for specific elements is one way a natural product's composition can be checked against a defined set of parameters, using a specific method, on a specific sample.

This kind of testing does not replace good sourcing and handling practices, but it does give customers something concrete to look at: a real, dated report, tied to a named brand and sample, showing what was and was not detected for the parameters that were tested.

Additional Laboratory Documentation

We also maintain a mineral and moisture composition report from HTC Labs (a project of Halal & Tayyib Certification (Pvt) Ltd), Report Number 0936-21, listing results for moisture, calcium, iron, magnesium, potassium and zinc content. This particular document does not itself state a sample brand name, so we are sharing it here as supplementary reference documentation alongside — rather than as direct confirmation of — the Aftabi Shilajit elemental analysis above.

In Plain Language

Understanding the Result

The submitted Aftabi Shilajit sample was tested for the elements listed above. According to this report, Lead, Cadmium and Arsenic were reported as N.D. (Not Detected).

This result relates specifically to the one sample and the parameters listed in the report dated 20 December 2023. It reflects that particular tested sample, using the method and reporting used by the testing laboratory at the time — it is not a claim about every batch, every parameter, or every possible substance.

Our Approach

Transparency

We are publishing this page so customers can inspect the testing documentation we have available, rather than simply taking claims about testing on trust. As further documentation becomes available, we intend to add it here.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

"N.D." means "Not Detected," exactly as defined on the test report itself. It refers to the result for the specific sample and parameter tested.

The report, titled "Elemental Analysis of Salajeet," lists results for Lead (Pb), Cadmium (Cd) and Arsenic (As).

The report is dated 20 December 2023.

The report defines "N.D." as "Not Detected." It does not state a numerical detection limit, so we do not represent "Not Detected" as meaning an absolute zero amount — only that the element was not detected under the test as reported by the laboratory.

No. This report reflects the results for the one sample submitted for testing on the date shown. It should not be read as a guarantee about any other batch.

Yes. The original report image is available above on this page for you to inspect.
